Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why does a trailing comma fail?

JSON does not allow a comma before a closing brace or bracket. Change {"count":1,} to {"count":1}. Comments and single-quoted strings are also outside standard JSON.

Does formatting preserve every number and key?

The tool parses JSON with JavaScript and serializes it again. Duplicate object keys can collapse, and integers above 9,007,199,254,740,991 can lose precision. Keep identifiers and exact large integers as strings.

Does valid JSON guarantee a valid API request?

No. Syntax validation does not validate your API schema, required properties, data types or business rules.
